Heartland Catfish Welcomes Linda Farnsworth Gwinn as Regional Sales Manager
Bringing more than 35 years of experience in the food service industry
Itta Bena, Miss. (June 14, 2023)- Heartland Catfish Company recently hired Linda Farnsworth Gwinn as a Regional Sales Manager. Linda has spent most of her career as a food broker gaining extensive knowledge and experience establishing products in the food service industry through sales and marketing operations. Her comprehensive knowledge of the industry and consumer relationships is an integral element to support Heartland’s model for expanded distribution and overall growth.
As a Regional Sales Manager, Linda will work with customers in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina. Her industry reputation, coupled with vast distributor and broker relationships will expand and solidify new industry relationships. Through her years of industry experience and having previously worked with Heartland Catfish as a broker, Linda understands catfish and each stage of the catfish processing cycle from farm to product shipment.

When I first started working with Heartland Catfish, I developed a relationship with Mr. Tackett and the Heartland team and would frequently talk with them about the needs of Heartland customers that are always at the forefront of their minds. The overall determination of quality service as company really resonated with me. Heartland Catfish is an amazing company and it feels like I am going to be with family,” Linda said.
In 1991, Linda founded a brokerage business where she worked within the food industry providing a wide range of services. Selling the company to a regional broker after 19 successful years, she continued working with the company for several years. During this time, Linda developed a relationship with Heartland Catfish Company and has been representing Heartland Catfish since its infancy. Coming full circle to now be part of the Heartland Catfish team is a testament to Linda’s dedication to providing quality products within the industry.
